1.The Brave Goat
Once upon a time , There was a very famous priest in a small village. He misguided the people of the village into false ways of worship.
He believed in sacrificing animals as part of worship and forced people into it one day .He decided to sacrifice a goat. |

The Priest: Here take this goat to the river give him a good bath decorate him with flowers and bring him.

| The two Servants |
The two Servants: We will act according to your instructions master.
The Priest : You two have your batch and come neatly dressed.
The two Servants :Yes master .
The goat who was listening to all this understood that the time had come for him to die he thought of a plan to escape but he thought it would not be possible to run away from the servants. The servants took the goat to the river and gave him a bath. The goat thought of an idea suddenly he started to laugh.
The two Servants :Hey look , The goat is laughing stupid and one servant asked the goat "why are you laughing the goat?".
The goat got understood that its idea had worked that it stopped laughing and started crying. The servants were even more shocked.
The two servants :One servant asked the goat ,Fool "why are you crying now?" . If you don't tell me the reason ,I will kill you right away.

The goat picked up courage and spoke back.
The Goat :Kill me here itself, no problem.
The two Servants : "What has happened to him?" .(The goat)He's not bothered about his death .Tell us , Now why you laughed and then cried.
The Goat : I thought about your master that made me cry that's it.
The two Servants :"How dare you speak about him like that ?". Another servant said that ,"we will take him to our master".
The servants took him to their master .
The two Servants :The servants are saying to their master about the goat ,"Master ,while we were giving him bath this goat started to laugh and after a while began to cry when we asked him why he was crying he told us that he cried because he thought of you.
The priest was annoyed .
The Priest :You stupid goat . You do not have brains or anything tell me what made you laugh and cry .
The Goat : Master , I know that you're going to sacrifice me today when I was having my bath the memory of my previous birth came to me by your power.
The servants were dumbfounded.
The Goat : In my previous birth, I was like you and I killed a goat. I am now born as a goat if you kill me. My sin is removed and I will be reborn in this world as a great scholar as I have suffered humiliations in this birth as a foolish goat this made me happy that's why I laughed.
The Priest : Enough of your boasting. Tell me "what made you cry?".
The Goat : Master now in this birth you are committing the same mistake that I did in my previous birth so in your next birth you will be reborn as a goat and will killed by someone else thinking about this I felt sad. Tears rolled down from my eyes.
The priest and the servants were equally shocked.
The Goat : Master , your a great priest and Now , I don't want you to be reborn a fool like me in your next birth .
The Priest : I am sorry dear goat, I will not kill you".
The goat felt very happy
The Priest :Servants untie him set him free.
The two Servants : Master , the village elders would have by now come with their goats for sacrifice what shall we tell them.
The Goat : They are committing a mistake because our master has asked them to do so. Our master may have as many goats as the number of goats sacrificed.
The Priest : Ask them to take their goats back fast I don't want to see anyone.
The goat was very happy that it was able to teach a proper lesson to the priest and also help other goats from being killed .
Moral of the Story : Braveness even in adverse conditions will confer victory in one's endeavours.

Once upon a time , A poor hard-working farmer had a horse. The farmer would work through the month and go to the village market at the end of the month to sell the salt he had collected. He was a kind farmer but he had only one horse. So, he put two sacks of salt on his back and took him.

The horse hated the long walk to the village market he just wanted to stay at home and eat hay. So , he grudgingly went with the farmer to the market.
The Farmer : Careful boy the bridge is slippery over this river go slow or you will fall over.
The horse didn't care for his masters warnings .He just wanted to be done with the day. So ,He picked up his pace. He'd hardly taken a few steps when he slipped and fell into the river.
The Farmer : Oh No , let me help you out.
The farmer got the horse out of the water. But the Sac on is back got wet and all the salts melted away in the river.
The Farmer : All our souls is lost. There is no point going to the market. Now , but I'm glad you are fine let's just go back home.
The horse was happy with his little accident and relieved that he did not have to go through all that hard work. The month went by and it was time to go to the market again.
The Farmer : Come on boy let us go to the market.
They set off and soon came up to the river again the horse remembered what had happened on the bridge the last time and how he didn't have to go to the market after his big fall. So , He shut off again on the bridge and willingly fell into the water .
The Farmer : Oh , No are you okay my boy here let me help you out.
Once again they had to return to the farm because all the salt had got wasted away in the river. Don't disappointed , the farmer waited the whole month and started off for the village markets again next month. Yet , again the horse willingly fell into the water again and wasted the farmers salt.
The Farmer : Oh ,Well let's go back again.
The farmer patiently awaited for the next month again and This time he loaded the horses back with sacks full of cotton .But, the horse did not know this. When the bridge came he threw himself into the river again hoping to put an end to this trip as well. But, now the cotton became soaking wet and heavy.
The Framer : You fell in again is it. Well good that this time I put cotton instead of salt. You thought , I wouldn't notice when you willingly wasted my salt each month. Now this is your punishment you will carry the heavy wet cotton till the market it will be dry enough to sell by the time we get there.
And so the poor horse paid for his laziness by getting his burden doubled and the farmer decided to find better ways of making his work happen.
Mohan : I'm sure machines make it easier for the farmers today.

Moral of the story : Make the work on time and Don't escape from the work. If you lazy , your work will be doubled.
